USAD sees Russia wheat crop at 85 mln tns, exports at 40 mln tns
MOSCOW, May 13 (PRIME) – Russia will harvest 85 million tonnes of wheat and export half of it in the 2021–2022 agricultural year starting from July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022, the U.S. Agriculture Department said in its first estimate for the year late on Wednesday.
Russia harvested a bumper crop of 86.003 million tonnes in 2017-2018 and exported 41,447 million tonnes of wheat. The second biggest harvest came in 2020, when the country harvested 85.896 million tonnes of grain.
The carryover wheat stock is to rise to 15.082 million tonnes from 12.082 million tonnes as of the end of the previous year.
